Detailed Itinerary of the 8 Days BEST Uganda Primate & Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Arrival, City Tour then Hotel

On arrival at the Entebbe International Airport you are picked up by our driver guide who transfers you on a City Tour around Kampala visiting the various safari destinations i.e Bahai Temple, Uganda Martyrs’ Shrine, Kasubi Tombs, King’s Palace Bulange, etc. After the City Tour, proceed to check-in your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Day 2: Transfer to Mgahinga National Park (Optional Guided Nature Walk)

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to Mgahinga National Park located in the South West of Uganda and en-route enjoy views of the green vegetation terrain, birds as well as lunch. After a while, reach Mgahinga and check-in your lodge for relaxation then proceed on an optional guided nature walk then later Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga National Park

Wake up early have breakfast then transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing on the code of conduct around the Mountain Gorillas then later in groups of 8 with a park ranger guide, enter the forest to track the Gorillas for 3-5 hours and when you meet them depending on location, only an hour is allowed in their presence taking various photos. After Gorilla Trekking, drive to the headquarters for your Gorilla Trekking certificate then later to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Tracking in Mgahinga National Park

Wake up early have breakfast then go to the park headquarters for briefing on the code of conduct around the Golden Monkeys then later in groups with a park ranger track the Golden Monkeys for 2-4 hours and when you meet them, take various photos of them to keep for memories. After Golden Monkey Tracking, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Wake up today have breakfast then transfer to Lake Mburo National Park located after Mbarara Town. En-route enjoy views of the green terrain and lunch. After proceed to check-in your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mburo Safari Lodge.

Day 6: Game Drive & Boat Cruise

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to enjoy a Game Drive along the various tracks in the Park watching numerous wildlife animals wander around their natural vegetation habitat. After the drive, break off for lunch then later proceed to enjoy a Boat Cruise along Lake Mburo watching crocodiles and hippos as well as birds. After the cruise return to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mburo Safari Lodge.

Day 7: Bird watching at Mabamba Wetland Swamp

Wake up have breakfast then with your luggage go to Mabamba Wetland Swamp to enjoy bird watching where you watch various species of birds as well as the sought after shoebill stork in the swampy areas of the wetland. After bird watching, check-in your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Laico Victoria Hotel.

Day 8: Depart to Kampala or Entebbe

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the Entebbe International Airport to board your flight back home.
