Detailed Itinerary of the (Budget) 5 Days Rwanda Chimps & Akagera Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

After dropping at the Kigali International Airport, you are picked up by a driver guide to transfer you to the stunning Nyungwe Forest National Park. You drive via Kigali City and proceed South West Rwanda with en-route lunch then later after a while you reach the Park and check-in your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe (Cyamudongo Forest)

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the park headquarters for briefing on the code of conduct around the chimpanzees then later in groups of 8 with a park ranger guide, transfer to Cyamudongo Forest located close to Nyungwe Forest. While here, enter the forest to track the Chimpanzees for 2-4 hours and when you meet them take various photos for keeps. After Chimpanzee tracking, return to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Day 3: Transfer to Akagera  National Park

Wake up today have breakfast then embark on transfer to Akagera National Park for a period of 3 hours with en-route views of the green terrain, birds and lunch. After a while, you reach the Park and check-in your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Akagera Game Lodge.

Day 4: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Akagera National Park

Wake up early have breakfast then transfer to enjoy a Game Drive along the numerous tracks in the park watching wildlife wander around their natural vegetation habitat. After the Game Drive break off for lunch then later go have a boat cruise along Lake Ihema where you watch numerous hippos and crocodiles beneath the waters. After the Boat Cruise, proceed to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Akagera Game Lodge.

Day 5: Depart to Kigali Airport

Wake up have breakfast then with your luggage, embark on a transfer to Kigali International Airport to board your flight back home.
