Queen Elizabeth National Park is the second biggest national park in Uganda, second to Marchision falls NP. It is situated in the southern part of Uganda, approximately 401 kms distance and 7-8 hours drive on the national paved road from Kampala city, on Kampala- Masaka- Mbarara road. The other optional route to Queen Elizabeth National Park is the Fort portal -Mubende road, via Kasese town, estimated for 7-8 hours , steadily driving 390 km distance from Kampala city.

Day 1 | Queen Elizabeth National Park | From Entebbe town, Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park | After your breakfast, our driver/ guiode will pick you from your hotel at 6:00am to transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park preferably using Kampala, Mubende, Fortportal , Kasese route, 6-7 hrs drive, of 429 km distance from Entebbe town. You will enjoy a stop over at Fortpotal town to have lunch., then, continue the journey to Mweya UWA park office to secure a Boat cruise ticket to enjoy the Afternoon Boat cruise on Kazinga channel. The boat cruise will enable you to watch different wildlife, inclusive of buffaloes, elephants, hipos, crocodiles , plus many other animals. After the boat cruise, the driver will transfer you to Lake Munyange caves lodge for your one night stay.- to relax and rest in preparation for the majestic game drive- primate trekking the next day. |

After your break fast, check out of your hotel at 6:00am to meet the driver/guide and proceed to UWA office at Kasenyi sector to secure the UWA Game drive permit. Thereafter, embark on the game drive either in (Kasenyi plains, or Mweya peninsula or Ishasha plains) to last you 3-4 hours. During then, you will see Elephants, Buffaloes, Hippos, Lions, crocodiles, water bucks, warthogs, different bird species, and Leopards (if lucky). After the game drive, embark on a guided primate walk to trek Chimpanzees in Kyambura Gorge (1-4hrs based on their location). On completion of Chimpanzee trek, report to UWA park office to receive the UWA -certificate of appreciation, before embarking on your return trip to Entebbe Airport, for a return flight. |
